Bath Labour at the City Farm
Many of you will have received an email from the Labour Party national office, explaining that there has been a data breach of our national membership list which is managed on our behalf by a third party. Unfortunately, this has not been resolved and we do not have access to up to date information in order to send out formal notices. We have therefore postponed the All Members Meeting for November.

We are hoping however that this newsletter will reach a fairly large section of our membership.

This has been a busy few months for Bath CLP and you can read all about the activites here.

Members coffee morning in the office on 2nd Oct – despite the awful weather, members came to the office for cake and a chat and we raised £45 for Bath Welcomes Refugees.

Freshers Week – Our Youth Officer and the Chair of the Bath University Labour Club ran a brilliantly successful stall for freshers week at both local universities in September/October.

Family Fun Day at Bath City Farm Oct 17th – There was great turnout on a lovely sunny day. Over 30 members came together to meet in person for a chat and some delicious pizzas. The children made the lovely glittery rose. Thanks for organising such a successful event, Tamsin.

A wonderful Labour rose
Canvassing Oct 9th – We had a great turnout of volunteers who knocked on doors in the Fairfield Park area and listened to local residents’ views. We found a lot of Labour support too.

Radical Walk in Bath on 24th October – Our Political Education officer, Molly, led a fascinating walk around central Bath highlighting aspects of Bath’s socialist and feminist history.

Women’s Forum and South Branch AGMs – The Women’s Forum has held an AGM and is now registering as an official Branch. South Branch has elected new officers. A North Branch AGM will be arranged shortly.

Bath Labour canvassers
COP 26 Day of Action for Climate Justice – Members of Bath CLP attended a rally in Bath on Saturday 6th November and Bath Labour Party has displayed its pledges for a greener future in the local office window.

Winter Campaigning – Even though the days are short we will still be campaigning. We intend to use the Labour Party phone programme Dialogue to chat to voters. We are planning some training sessions for members who would like to help. We will offer support and buddying. If you would like to volunteer please contact our Campaign Co-ordinator Chris on info@bathlabourparty.online

Team Bath Labour Party Running for Julian House – 5 of our members are running in the Bath Half Marathon in March as a Labour Party team to raise funds for Julian House. You can sponsor them at here.

Dan Norris is undertaking a review of supported bus services – can you help?

The West of England Combined Authority provides support to several bus services, and Dan Norris, our new Labour Metro Mayor, wants to hear the thoughts of existing bus passengers and potential new passengers across Bath.

Dan would like to know how supported bus services can be improved, what would encourage you to use bus services more often and what they should look like in the future.

Bath has a quite a few supported bus services, so this is very relevant to us all. You can complete the consultation using the link below and please share it widely.

It has been great to see so many positive initiatives from members across Bath Labour.

We believe there is a role for every Bath Labour member in helping get the next Labour government elected and having a good time while we are at it.

If you would like to find out more about how you can get involved you can reply to this email – we would love to hear from you.
